Sunday I went to Boston for the day with my fiance, Kristin. We got up early in the day (even though the game wasn't until 135, we wanted to go early and walk around Boston). We traveled into Boston on the T. First time I went without my parents and first time for Kristin on the T. It was a nice short ride. Had seats too.
When we got to Boston, we walked by Fenway and went into some souvenir shops. In one of them, there was a wall poster of Jason Varitek. Kristin wanted a picture next to it, so I took one of her. After that, we wanted to head to McGreevy's. McGreevy's is a bar that Ashley found for me and Kristin to go to. One of the owners is from the Dropkick Murphy's. We didn't know which direction to go in, so Kristin stopped and asked a fireman. He asked what number McGreevy's was on Boylston Street. Kristin told him it was 9-1-1. The fireman looked at us with a smile and said, "9-1-1, are you serious?" Kristin and I laughed and smiled and said, "Yes." I told Kristin of all people to ask, you got to ask a fireman where 911 Boylston Street is. We both thought it was funny.
McGreevy's was fun. We both had drinks (at 1030am) and breakfast. Kristin got Belgian Waffles. I got Pancakes. Almost got The Big Papi, but there was way too much food on the menu item. We both got t-shirts from there, too.
After McGreevy's, we shopped around the bar. Went to a 3-floor Best Buy. Went to Newbury Comics and a Steve Madden. After that, we headed back to Fenway for the game.
The game was ugly. Tons of bad calls all over the place. Calling strikes on Big Papi. The guy was out by a mile at the plate, but was called safe. Just an ugly game. They lost 4-2. I still had fun though cuz I was with my girl.
After the game, we went back to souvenir shops so I could get a new red Red Sox shirt, since my Manny one is no good anymore. I got a Pedroia shirt.
The ride back on the T was bad. Had to stand and the cars were packed. Kristin didn't have a bar to hang on to, so she hugged me and held on to me since I had a bar to grab. About halfway through the ride, we were able to sit down.
We got on the turnpike and got some dinner. Then we went back to Kristin's house and hung out and watched I Love Money.
Was a very long day, but I enjoyed it a lot. Can't wait to do it again.

Long Day Off
Today I had my first day off of the week. I had to get up around 730 or so, so I could go to the doctor's office to get my stitches removed. I'm still on meds, but at least those annoying stitches are gone.
After my appointment, I came back home and played Destroy All Humans: Big Willy Unleashed. That game has me addicted (especially after today). I already beat story mode. Now I'm trying to 100% the game, something I don't do often with my Wii games. Its hard to 100% games. Trying to find everything is endless (like the 100s of recipes in Paper Mario, or beating Resident Evil 4 twice, or unlocking all the karts, bikes, and racers in Mario Kart Wii, or all the boards, skaters, gear, etc in Tony Hawk games, etc). I'm even stuck on TMNT right now. I got about 60-70% of that game complete, but there are so many side missions. I have 88% complete in DAH: BWU. I played that game for 4 hours today.
Other than playing my game, I stripped wallpaper off the walls in the family room. My parents are sick of the flower print, so they want that down and the room to be repainted. I finished about half the room in about an hour and a half (not including the 30 minute set-up time, the removal of furniture, and the removal of wall hangings).
Now I'm just sitting here waiting for dinner, possibly cleaning my room. Hoping Mike is around tonight. Got him a present in Boston.
